[Virginia Beach, Virginia] – United Police Fund is proud to announce the launch of its new voter guide to help voters understand important issues that affect our police and communities. As we get closer to the November 5, 2024, elections, it’s crucial for everyone to know how their vote can make a difference for our law enforcement.
The voter guide offers a comprehensive view of key law enforcement issues, such as defunding, rising crime rates, and illegal immigration. By exploring how these issues intersect with the electoral landscape, voters can gain valuable insights into the potential impact of their decisions at the ballot box.
Defunding the police has become a contentious topic, with some advocating for reallocating funds away from law enforcement. United Police Fund cautions that such measures could compromise community safety and hinder police departments’ ability to respond effectively to emergencies and prevent crime.
In addition to the challenge of defunding, communities are grappling with a concerning surge in crime rates. Addressing this issue requires proactive strategies and strong support for law enforcement efforts to combat criminal activity and keep neighborhoods safe.
Illegal immigration presents another pressing concern for law enforcement agencies as they work to uphold immigration laws while ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. Effective policies and cooperation between federal, state, and local authorities are essential to address this complex issue and maintain public trust in law enforcement.
“There are so many issues that are impacting our police that it’s overwhelming and citizens and voters are frustrated with politicians pandering and defunding police officers. It’s time for voters to stand-up and turnout in 2024,” said Chris Strope, President of United Police Fund.
The voter guide is available for free and can be accessed here: https://unitedpolicefund.org/2024-voter-guide/
United Police Fund encourages every eligible voter to shape our communities’ future by casting their vote on November 5th, 2024. Your voice matters, and together, we can make a difference.
